2019 Reunion Atlanta
Event Summary
In 2019, Ologafe North America was launched. We were scattered across the United States, and we communicated only by phone. Ladian Bunmi Oloke Kumapayi suggested we meet on a weekend, as most of us have not met in decades after we left school. We all agreed, and Atlanta, Georgia, was chosen to honour Ladian Dupe Familoni Onabanjo, who had been championing the course of Ologafe.
We came on a Friday. August 19, 2019, stayed at the Hilton hotel. In attendance were our hostesses who went over and beyond to make our Reunion unforgettable. They fed us and organized a very unique weekend.
Members gathered for a weekend (Friday to Sunday) of fun in Atlanta (the first inaugural reunion) to celebrate together in Atlanta, Georgia.
- Friday (dinner: Cheesecake Factory at Lenox Square, a Simon Mall).
- Saturday: attractions: GA Aquarium, CNN photo-taking, Martin Luther King Memorial; Evening: Gala night.
- Sunday: Thanksgiving Service/Prayer
